Madonna reflects on surviving septic shock
Madonna took to Instagram to look back on her hospitalization last year. She shared that she had just returned home from the hospital after surviving a life-threatening illness and could barely stand in her backyard holding a sparkler.
Posting photos from her Fourth of July celebrations, Madonna also thanked her fans for their support and prayers. She mentioned her miraculous recovery and expressed appreciation for life.
According to reports, Madonna was found unconscious at her New York City residence in July 2023 and was admitted to the ICU after going into septic shock. Her manager confirmed that she had a serious bacterial infection.
Madonna’s concern over cancelling concerts
Reflecting on her Celebration tour, Madonna admitted she didn’t want to disappoint her fans or the people who worked hard to prepare for the show. Despite her health issues, she expressed gratitude for everyone involved.
Madonna’s sudden illness in July 2023 led to the postponement of her North American tour. The tour finally kicked off in London’s O2 arena, marking four decades in show business.
She concluded her tour with a show in Brazil in May and is now facing a lawsuit from a fan for showing NSFW content without warning.
