RHOC Star Vicki Gunvalson Shares Details of her Hospital Visits during a Health Scare
The Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson shared details about a serious health scare and being diagnosed with a deadly infection. During an episode of My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast, the reality TV star revealed that she started to “talk gibberish” during a meeting and realized she might be having a stroke.
Gunvalson, not feeling well and with her partner Michael Smith out of town, was taken to the hospital by his daughter, Olivia Smith.
Speaking on the podcast, Gunvalson shared that initially, doctors thought her symptoms were just sinuses and sent her home after some medication. When Smith returned, he found her almost unconscious in the bathtub. The CEO of Coto Insurance also joined Gunvalson on the podcast.
Smith recalled pulling Gunvalson out of the water and putting her to bed. When she woke up feeling disoriented and unable to walk, he took her back to the hospital.

Smith revealed that Gunvalson was diagnosed with a massive infection, specifically sepsis and pneumonia. He explained how the infection affected her body and brain due to the body fighting against it.
Gunvalson mentioned not remembering anything after the stroke and praised Smith for taking care of her and ensuring she takes her medications.
Discussing her recovery, Gunvalson mentioned sleeping a lot and struggling with energy to walk, experiencing symptoms similar to a stroke with three blank days.
