Hugh Jackman Receives Playful Jabs About His Divorce in Deadpool & Wolverine
Although the comment about Hugh’s real-life romantic endeavors caught fans’ attention, it was not the only reference to the actors’ personal lives, including breakups. Jennifer Garner, who portrayed Elektra alongside Ben Affleck in the 2003 film “Daredevil,” also makes an appearance and subtly references her ex-husband.
During her cameo, Jennifer, who shares children Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12 with Ben, informs Deadpool that Daredevil has passed away.
Choosing to deliver the news nonchalantly, Elektra simply says, “It’s fine.”
The joke was made in jest, as Jennifer has previously highlighted the amicable co-parenting relationship she shares with Ben following their divorce in 2018.
“It’s not Ben’s job to make me happy,” Jennifer told Vanity Fair in 2016. “The priority is our children—and we are completely aligned in our hopes for them.”
