Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson are set to star in the upcoming musical film Song Sung Blue. The movie will depict the story of a real-life couple who created the Neil Diamond tribute band Lightning & Thunder.
Directed by Craig Brewer, known for his work in Hustle and Flow, the film is based on the 2008 documentary of the same name. Jackman will play the role of Mike, while Hudson will take on the character of Clair Sabrina.
According to the official synopsis, the movie follows the journey of two struggling musicians who form a joyful Neil Diamond tribute band, highlighting the message that it’s never too late to find love and pursue your dreams.
