Hrithik Roshan considered to replace Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya in movie adaptation of Mirzapur, director Gurmeet Singh reveals, ‘At this moment…’
Rumors have been circulating that Hrithik Roshan may replace Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleena Bhaiya in the movie adaptation of Mirzapur. The director of the show, Gurmeet Singh, has given hints indicating this possibility.
In a recent interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Gurmeet Singh responded to the rumors about Hrithik Roshan starring in the Mirzapur movie. He mentioned that no official announcement has been made yet and that the decision rests with the producers and studio. More clarity will be provided once an official statement is released.
“At this moment, I cannot confirm anything definitively. The same goes for Hrithik – until there is an official confirmation, I cannot disclose anything,” he said.
Gurmeet also confirmed that Divyenddu’s Munna Bhaiya and Sharad Shukla will not return in future seasons. He explained that their deaths in the show were final, and bringing back deceased characters would diminish the story’s impact.
The director emphasized the importance of personal loss experienced by the audience and how reviving dead characters would undermine the emotional weight of the narrative. He stated that developing the story based on character popularity would result in repetitive and stale storytelling.
Gurmeet highlighted the progression of the show from focusing on a young man’s attraction to power in the first season to exploring revenge in the second season and the use and misuse of power by the youth in the third season. He expressed optimism about introducing fresh elements in the fourth season to keep the audience engaged.
In conclusion, the director mentioned that the fourth season is still in the writing stage. He revealed that the upcoming season will address whether the king can establish his kingdom and mentioned that the episode count will be decided by Amazon.
