Hrithik Roshan unveils trailer for director Vinod Rawat’s first film Pushtaini: ‘Captured my heart’
Hrithik Roshan is one actor who often goes above and beyond to spread happiness. His recent gesture for his acting coach Vinod Rawat is evidence of this. The actor has joined in to present his acting coach’s feature film Pushtaini.
Vinod is making his directorial debut with this film, which is set to release on June 21. This film also marks Rawat’s debut as an actor, director, writer, and producer, and it includes a cameo by Rajkummar Rao.
Hrithik Roshan shares trailer of Pushtaini
Taking to his Instagram handle, Hrithik Roshan shared the trailer of Vinod Rawat’s Pushtaini. He couldn’t stop praising him after watching it. The actor mentioned that when Vinod first approached him with the script, he couldn’t fully grasp the vision of the film.
Hrithik also revealed that during the lockdown, Vinod informed him that he would be shooting the film in his hometown and due to financial constraints, his family members would also be part of the cast. Despite facing challenges like COVID, Rawat persevered with only Rs 15,000 left to complete the project.
Impressed by the film, Hrithik expressed, “To my surprise and delight, the film evoked laughter, tears, and left me in awe of what this man had achieved on his own. PUSHTAINI had a heart, and it won mine.”

Pushtaini’s storyline
Pushtaini follows the life of Bhuppi (Rawat), a struggling actor desperate for one last shot at stardom after a scandal rocks his world. Returning home to confront his past, Bhuppi embarks on a journey through the mountains, encountering strangers and unexpected adventures along the way.
Vinod Rawat’s claim to fame
Vinod Rawat gained recognition with the opening season of the Sushmita Sen-led International Emmy Awards nominated series Aarya, which he co-directed with filmmaker Ram Madhvani. A graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Rawat described Pushtaini as a “deeply personal” film and expressed his gratitude to Hrithik Roshan for presenting the drama.

Pushtaini features non-professional actors, including Rawat’s family members. The film is co-written by Rita Heer, who also has a key role in the film. Additionally, it includes a cameo by Rajkummar Rao.
Pushtaini is produced by Lotus Dust Pictures and VinRaw Films. It will have a nationwide theatrical release on June 21 through Shiladitya Bora’s Platoon Distribution, known for releasing independent gems like SIR, COURT, and Ghode Ko Jalebi Khilane Le Jaa Riya Hoon.
