Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has been a major success at the box office. Numerous individuals from the film industry have congratulated the team of the horror comedy on its accomplishment. Hrithik Roshan recently praised the movie and described it as ‘applause worthy.’ He expressed that it was a joyful moment for Indian cinema.
Today, September 21, 2024, Hrithik Roshan took to X (Twitter) and commended the success of Stree 2. He stated, “It is such a happy time for our Cinema with Stree 2 setting new benchmarks for all of us to look up to.”
Applauding the way the supernatural universe was constructed in the film, Hrithik added, “Stree part 1 was fantastic and the concept of expanding that idea and creating a universe and witnessing it all come together in Stree 2 is commendable!”
Sending his best wishes to the cast and crew, the actor mentioned, “Bravo to the teams that brought this to the big screen. You guys are true stars. Congratulations Dinesh Vijan, @MaddockFilms, @jiostudios, @amarkaushik, @nirenbhatt and the entire cast & crew!”
He concluded by saying, “May we continue to have many more such joyful moments at the movies.”

Stree 2 continues the story from the first installment of the franchise. The cast includes Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in key roles. Tamannaah Bhatia, Varun Dhawan, and Akshay Kumar make significant cameo appearances. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande, the film hit theaters on August 15, 2024. The creators have confirmed that Stree 3 is currently in production.
Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan has been busy filming War 2, the next installment in the YRF Spy Universe. He is currently in Italy for the next shoot. Hrithik will be reprising his role as agent Kabir from the previous film. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 also features Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani. The action-packed thriller is scheduled to release in cinemas on August 14, 2025.
