“Hrithik and Rakesh Roshan to release a documentary on their family’s three-generation legacy on OTT platform in December”
Hrithik Roshan is part of a family with a rich history in the Indian film industry. Born to actor-filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, he comes from a line of talented individuals. His grandfather, Roshan Lal Nagrath, was a renowned music composer, and his uncle Rajesh Roshanlal Nagrath is an equally talented music director and composer. To honor their family’s legacy, they have decided to produce a documentary that is set to be released on an OTT platform by December 2024.
As reported by Mid-Day, Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan’s upcoming docu-series titled “The Roshans” is expected to premiere on Netflix in December. The series will showcase the successes and challenges faced by the artists in the family and will include insights from Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Sham Kaushal.
Last year, in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, an industry insider revealed that Rakesh Roshan is producing a special documentary that will delve into the impactful contributions of the Roshan family to the Indian film industry. The documentary will trace the journey from Roshan Lal Nagrath’s arrival in Mumbai in 1947 to the current generation with Hrithik Roshan. It will also feature archival footage and interviews with various Bollywood celebrities who have collaborated with the Roshans.
Reports suggest that Hrithik Roshan will also be marking 25 years since his acting debut in “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai” in January 2025, coinciding with his 51st birthday on January 10. Currently, he is working on the action-thriller “War 2” where he plays the role of Major Kabir Dhaliwal.
