Vanessa Hudgens Turns to High School Musical for The Masked Singer
Vanessa Hudgens reflects on how winning ‘The Masked Singer’ helped her evolve as a vocalist.
For Vanessa Hudgens, her time on The Masked Singer wasn’t the beginning of her musical journey.
With a background in performing that dates back to her High School Musical days and beyond, Vanessa is a seasoned professional in the industry.
“I grew up doing musical theater,” the 35-year-old shared in an exclusive interview with E! News’ Francesca Amiker. “I’ve been performing since I was literally like 4 years old and singing professionally since I was like 7, so I’ve been doing it almost my entire life. All those hours don’t go to waste. I was able to bring that experience with me into the work I consistently do, and being on the show was a wonderful and enjoyable platform to showcase that.”
While Vanessa’s journey to the stage began long before her portrayal of Gabriella Montez, she acknowledged that each film set experience contributes to her growth as an artist.
“Every experience offers a deeper understanding and knowledge that helps me navigate future projects with more wisdom,” Vanessa, who stars in the upcoming Bad Boys: Ride or Die film alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, explained. “It’s like the 10,000-hour rule; just keep going, and it all adds up in the end.”
