Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican candidate Donald Trump are set to debate on Tuesday, September 10, and viewers are looking for ways to watch and stream the event live. The candidates will be debating from the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is the first time that both of them will face each other on a live platform amid the 2024 race to the White House. Presidential Debate Rules
According to ABC, the rules of the debate include the following:
- Props or pre-written notes are not allowed on stage by either candidate
- No topics or questions will be shared in advance with the campaigns or the candidates
- Candidates will have two-minute answers to questions, two-minute rebuttals, and an extra minute for any follow-ups or responses
- Campaign staff cannot interact with the candidates during commercial breaks
- No audience is in the room for this year’s debate
- No opening statements are permitted by either candidate
- Candidates are allowed two minutes for their closing statements
