The struggles of TikToker Taylor Rousseau Grigg before her passing
Taylor Rousseau Grigg was honest about her health before she passed away.
The late 25-year-old, whose husband of one year Cameron Grigg confirmed her death on Oct. 5, had previously shared her feelings towards the end of her life with her over one million TikTok followers.
“Some people have opinions about what they think is wrong with me,” Taylor started in an Aug. 8 TikTok. “One of the first comments I’ve seen is a girl saying I just don’t look happy, and the truth is it’s because I’m not putting on a fake smile like I used to for the camera.”
She then described how the pressure of creating content had started to impact her mental health—mentioning in a comment overlay that she was trying to rediscover joy in it again.
“When I first started, I enjoyed filming and being in front of the camera,” she said. “Over time, with the pressure to succeed, the pressure to embody all these qualities that one person can’t possibly possess, that smile fades and you start putting on a front—I’m done with that.”
