Creating Acceptance for Their LGBT Kids: How RHOC’s Heather and Alexis Lead the Way
Heather Dubrow and Alexis Bellino are dedicated to building a more inclusive world for their children, regardless of their sexual or gender identities.
The Real Housewives of Orange County stars openly discussed their backing of their LGBTQIA+ kids on the Bravo series’ episode airing on September 19th.
“All three of my kids are navigating their own paths in life,” Alexis, who is a mother to transgender son Miles (16), as well as sons James (17) and daughter Mackenna (16), shared in a personal moment. “I am committed to fostering a world that is compassionate, friendly, and inclusive for everyone in my family.”
The colleagues came together to attend the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards where Heather was a presenter.
“I have been involved with the GLAAD organization for many years, even before my first child came out as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community,” Heather, who has twins Max and Nick (20), as well as Kat (17) and Ace (13) with her husband Terry Dubrow, described in a personal reflection, “and being asked to present was an immense honor. GLAAD holds a significant platform in the LGBTQIA+ community, and Terry and I stand by the important work that GLAAD does, which makes me feel like I am making a positive impact and moving in the right direction.”
