Katherine Schwarzenegger Throws Shade at the Met Gala
It appears that celebrating the Met Gala is not quite Katherine Schwarzenegger‘s cup of tea.
In fact, the BDA Baby host seemed to subtly criticize the star-studded event.
To commemorate the first Monday in May, her mother Maria Shriver shared throwback photos from her attendance at the gala in 2001 on Instagram on May 6. As captured in a screenshot by the Daily Mail, Katherine re-posted her mother’s post on her own Instagram Stories and commented, “When the Met Gala was elegant and sophisticated.”
In Maria’s post, she was seen in a purple gown for the theme of that year’s Met Gala, “Jacqueline Kennedy: The White House Years,” walking the red carpet with her family, which included her mother Eunice Kennedy Shriver and father Robert Sargent Shriver.
“It’s the first Monday in May and the Met Gala is happening!” the former first lady of California wrote on Instagram. “The event was more subdued when I attended back in 2001, but I wanted to share some photos from that memorable night. Not only did I get to wear this stunning dress, but I was accompanied by both of my parents, along with my cousin, Caroline. Do you think we would still impress on the red carpet in these same outfits tonight? #metgalaflashback.”
