These remarks from Jessica follow Cash’s revelation that they broke up early on in their relationship.
“At the beginning of our relationship, I struggled with jealousy towards other guys and the attention she was receiving,” he shared on Whine Down with Jana Kramer in August. “It was affecting my self-esteem.”
However, during their time apart, the movie producer reflected on how he could become Jessica’s biggest supporter, rather than letting his insecurities dictate their relationship.
“I don’t crave the limelight,” he added. “I’m not a star or a celebrity, I’m not an actor, and I’ve never aspired to be one. I cheer her on, let her shine, and I’ve become more comfortable with it as time has passed. It’s an ongoing process for both of us. We strive to find a balance where she can uplift me and I can do the same for her.”
