Kylie Kelce’s Thoughts on Husband Jason Kelce’s Emotional NFL Retirement
She agreed to marry him! Only after dealing with some of Jason’s nonsense.
On the September 7th episode of the New Heights podcast, the couple recounted their engagement, with Jason admitting he’s not really a “romantic” type of person.
The NFL star proposed to Kylie in his car as they were leaving her parents’ house.
“I couldn’t find a way to smoothly go back into the house,” he explained, “because if I said, ‘Hey, I need to talk to your dad for a minute,’ it would have been strange.”
So, Jason went with another option: “When we got in the car, I told Ky, ‘I’m sorry, but I need to use the restroom.’
However, Kylie instantly suspected Jason had something planned when he returned after a few minutes. “He came back out and I said, ‘Jason, I know you didn’t actually use the bathroom, it usually takes you 20 minutes.’
Jason then got straight to the point.
“He said, ‘This isn’t the most romantic way to do this,'” Kylie remembered, “and I started crying right away because I knew what was happening, only because he mentioned being romantic.”
