Jamie Foxx’s Response to Daughter’s Engagement During Health Crisis
Jamie Foxx refused to let a medical emergency interfere with his daughter Corinne Foxx‘s engagement celebrations.
Her now-husband, Joe Wooten, was equally determined. When he decided to propose to Corinne in 2023, he relocated the proposal to Chicago, where the Oscar winner was receiving treatment at a physical rehabilitation center following an undisclosed medical issue. He then brought the festivities to the actor’s bedside.
“When my dad fell ill, our plans changed, and we found ourselves spending the summer in Chicago while he recuperated,” Corinne shared with Vogue in an interview released on October 3rd. “Little did I know that Joe had adjusted his plans to propose on the same day, just in a different city. He discovered a park in Chicago with blooming cherry blossoms and proposed there.”
The 30-year-old added, “He flew my mom in from Los Angeles and had my aunts secretly FaceTiming my dad from a hiding spot. He even organized a special post-engagement celebration in my dad’s room in Chicago. It was a small yet intimate and meaningful gathering.”
