Anna Delvey Competes on DWTS Despite ICE Restrictions

Anna Delvey may have come up with a unique way to participate on Dancing With the Stars.
The subject of Inventing Anna was found guilty of larceny after pretending to be a wealthy German heiress and swindling thousands of dollars from New York’s elite to support her lavish lifestyle. She has been teamed up with professional dancer Ezra Sosa for season 33 of the ABC dance competition. Her casting was announced by the network on Sept. 4, with her debut set for the premiere on Sept. 17, describing her as the “notorious ankle bracelet fashionista.”
Despite being on house arrest in her Manhattan apartment for overstaying her visa, Anna will still be able to compete in-person as the new season is being filmed in Los Angeles.
In an exclusive interview with E! News, Anna shared, “I’ve been waiting to get permission from ICE to travel out of state,” revealing that she still has restrictions on her travel. (Tune into E! News tonight on Sept. 4 at 11 p.m. for more with Anna.)
This is not Anna’s first appearance on reality TV since her release from prison in 2022. She recently had a playful cameo in a promo for USA Network’s strategic competition series The Anonymous.
