How Amy Robach’s Parents Reacted to Her Relationship with T.J. Holmes
After joining the ABC morning show in 2012, Amy Robach became the host of the post-Good Morning America timeslot following the transformation of the Pandemic: What You Need to Know series into GMA3: What You Need to Know.
T.J. Holmes joined ABC News in 2014 and quickly became friends with Robach, eventually being named her co-host.
Robach told People, “You couldn’t have chosen a better person to work with, because we have been wanting to collaborate for the past five years.”
Describing Holmes as “like my brother,” Robach added, “We have a great rapport and can anticipate each other’s thoughts. It’s rare to find such a strong bond on set, but I know he always has my back, and vice versa, and that’s invaluable.”
Robach also mentioned that she and her husband, Andrew Shue, often went on double dates with Holmes and his wife, Marilee Fiebig.
