Amber Riley Reflects on Glee Family After 15 Years
Amber Riley is full of praise.
Reflecting on her time as Mercedes Jones in the six-season series Glee, the 38-year-old shared her thoughts fifteen years after the show’s premiere.
“It’s amazing,” said Amber exclusively to E! News on the 2024 CMT Music Awards red carpet on April 7. “First of all, I gained a family. I gained knowledge in film, set, and music. It’s why I now appreciate and can perform various music genres.”
She continued, “I have such a broad range of things that I enjoy and can sing because of the show. It was like theater training on a much larger scale.”
Amber, elegantly dressed in a black Nicci Hou Collection dress with sparkling beads and woven fringe, expressed her gratitude for spending most of her 20s on television. (For more updates from the CMT Music Awards, watch E! News on April 8.)
