The Hollywood Reporter and SAG-AFTRA to Host 2024 Emmy Nominees Celebration
The Hollywood Reporter and SAG-AFTRA on Friday announced the return of their glittery Emmy Nominees Night event.
THR and SAG-AFTRA are teaming up again to co-host the bash, which will take place the weekend of the Emmys. Heineken Silver is serving as a sponsor. This marks a return of both SAG-AFTRA and Heineken in their longstanding support of this event.
This year’s Emmy Nominees Night party is set to be held at the Stanley II mansion overlooking Los Angeles. Developed by Jason Somers, Branden and Rayni Williams under their development team Disco Volante, the Stanley II house is described as “a testament to modern organic architecture, ultimate L.A. lifestyle and the highest quality of construction.”
The event, which is attended by current and former Emmy winners and nominees, Hollywood power players and other luminaries, had taken a year off due to the actors and writers strikes. (The 2023 Emmys ceremony also was impacted last year because of the strikes and was ultimately moved to January of this year.)
Among the stars and nominees who’ve turned out in the past are Andrew Garfield, Quinta Brunson, Tony Shalhoub, Christina Ricci, Melanie Lynskey, Sterling K. Brown, Natasha Lyonne, Niecy Nash, Sarah Snook, Keegan-Michael Key, Aaron Paul, Rachel Zegler, Nicholas Braun, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Tony Shalhoub, Hannah Einbinder, Bradley Whitford, and more.
The news of the event’s return comes on the heels of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ July 17 announcement of the 2024 Emmy nominations. FX’s Shogun leads the pack with 25 noms (setting several records), followed by FX’s The Bear (with 23 nominations, a comedy series record), Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building (21), HBO/Max’s True Detective: Night Country (19), and Netflix’s The Crown (18).
The 2024 Emmy Awards will be broadcast live Sunday, Sept. 15, at 8-11 p.m. ET/5-8 p.m. PT on ABC and stream the next day on Hulu. A host has not yet been announced.
