Hoda Kotb Shows Support for Selena Gomez During Fertility Journey
Hoda Kotb is commending Selena Gomez for her honesty.
Following the Rare Beauty founder’s revelation that she is unable to conceive children due to her intricate medical history, the Today show host—who struggled with her own fertility issues before becoming a mother—offered a heartfelt display of solidarity.
“I think it was something she always imagined would happen,” Kotb told co-host Jenna Bush Hager on the September 10th episode of Today. “You know how you plan your future in your mind? ‘I’ll get married at this age or that age, and then I’ll have kids,’ and you can visualize it. And I think that was probably the most difficult part.”
Responding to Gomez’s statement that she plans to explore other methods of becoming a mother, Kotb—who welcomed daughters Haley, 7, and Hope, 5, with former partner Joel Schiffman through adoption—commented, “Families come in all forms, and those kids are yours 100 percent.”
