Actress Geetha Vijayan accuses filmmaker Thulasidas of misconduct in Hema Committee row, another junior artist speaks out against actor Baburaj

Amid the Hema Committee report on Mollywood, actress Geetha Vijayan came forward and shared her story. She recounted losing opportunities in the film industry after speaking out about her unpleasant experiences during shoots. According to a report by Onmanorama, Geetha specifically mentioned director Thulasidas and his inappropriate behavior towards her during the filming of Chanchattam in 1991.
Geetha explained that while director Thulasidas did not physically harm her, he would knock on her door and call her multiple times. The actress expressed willingness to share more details if approached by the committee.
“When I entered the film industry as a newcomer in 1991, I faced a terrible experience. I refused when necessary, which led to me being ostracized. Taking a stand meant losing opportunities. If I get roles, great; if not, so be it,” Geetha was quoted saying by Onmanorama.
Additionally, a junior artist spoke up about being sexually abused by actor Baburaj at his home a few years ago. She claimed that she was lured under the pretense of a movie role but found herself alone with Baburaj, who proceeded to abuse her physically.
The junior artist never met Baburaj again and ignored his messages. Actor Minu Muneer also came forward today alleging physical and verbal abuse by Jayasurya, Idavela Babu, Maniyanpilla Raju, and Mukesh in 2013, following the Hema Committee report.
