Kourtney Kardashian Explains Why She Stopped Nursing Son Reign After He Started Biting Her
Kourtney Kardashian Barker, the co-founder of Lemme and a reality TV star, discusses why she stopped nursing her son Reign and her experiences balancing motherhood with life on tour with her husband, Travis Barker.
Breastfeeding Challenges
On a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney sat down for lunch in Australia with her husband Travis Barker, Blink-182 bandmate Mark Kappas, and his wife Skye. The conversation turned to the challenges of breastfeeding. Skye asked Kourtney how long she planned to nurse their baby boy, Rocky Thirteen. Kourtney shared that she aimed for at least a year, revealing that she had nursed Reign for a year until he started biting her. Skye could relate, mentioning that her own son, Jack, had done the same.
Adjusting to Life on Tour
In the same episode, Kourtney shared that during their tour in Australia with Blink-182, she and Travis decided to hire a nanny for their newborn son, Rocky. In a confessional, she explained that even though they didn’t use a nanny or baby nurse at home, they realized the need for extra help while on tour. Having a nanny allowed Kourtney to spend quality time with her other children and go on adventures scheduled around Rocky’s nap times.
Kourtney Kardashian Barker’s honest revelations give insight into her life as a mother of four and her struggle to balance parenting with her and Travis’s careers. Along with Reign and Rocky, Kourtney has a daughter named Penelope and a son named Mason with her ex Scott Disick, while Travis Barker is also a father to Atiana, Landon, and Alabama.
