Sara Ali Khan’s Birthday Surprise: The moment the actress’ playful fib to Amrita Singh was brought to light by a journalist
Sara Ali Khan is celebrating her 29th birthday today, August 12. The talented actress has been inundated with warm birthday wishes from fans, family, and friends on social media. On this special occasion, let’s take a fun trip down memory lane to when Sara shared a hilarious anecdote about getting caught in a lie by her mother, Amrita Singh.
During her appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, Sara Ali Khan regaled the audience with a mischievous incident from her past. She confessed to once telling her mother, Amrita Singh, a fib about her whereabouts, only to be exposed by a journalist later.
“Once I told my mom a lie, which one should never do. You shouldn’t lie. I told my mom that I was at the neighbor’s house, but I actually took the local train to Elphinstone Road,” she recounted with a mischievous grin.
When Kapil Sharma inquired why she had gone to Elphinstone Road, Sara slyly admitted that she had gone to meet another friend. However, the next day, Amrita questioned her about her whereabouts, and Sara stuck to her fabricated story.
Furthermore, Sara shared with amusement, “Actually, a journalist had called her and said, ‘Amrita ji, you have raised your daughter so well, she uses the local train…’.”
Kapil Sharma went on to ask Sara if that was the only time she lied to her mom about her location or activities. The bubbly actress confessed that she had done it multiple times, but the incidents were never publicized.
