The Season 21 Trailer of Grey’s Anatomy Confirms the Return of 2 Characters
T.R. Knight portrayed the character of George O’Malley on Grey’s Anatomy.
In a heartbreaking moment at the end of season five, George made the decision to join the army as a trauma surgeon. On his way to enlist, he saved a woman from being hit by a bus but ended up getting hit himself. He was severely injured and unrecognizable when he arrived at the hospital. It wasn’t until he wrote his nickname, 007, on Meredith’s hand that they realized it was him. Sadly, they were unable to save George, and he passed away.
Behind the scenes, T.R. Knight faced challenges, including conflicts with co-stars and dissatisfaction with his character’s storylines. This led to his request to be released from his contract.
Since then, Knight has returned to work with Shondaland in 2017 on The Catch. He has also made appearances on The Good Wife, 11.22.63, Genius, and other shows. In 2019, he was seen in The Bravest Knight, and in 2020, he starred in the HBO Max series The Flight Attendant alongside Kaley Cuoco. He also made a guest appearance on Grey’s Anatomy to meet Meredith during her COVID-19 coma.
