Gracie Abrams shares insight on Travis Kelce’s preparation for Eras Tour Cameo
It’s nice to have a friend in Travis Kelce.
After all, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was so determined to ensure that Gracie Abrams stood out during her surprise appearance at Taylor Swift‘s June 23 concert in London—where the two singers debuted their “Us” duet—that he even offered to tone down his own spotlight.
“Before we both went on,” Gracie shared with The Morning Mash Up on SiriusXM on July 2, she explained how Travis’ own unexpected appearance was scheduled a few songs before her performance. “He said, ‘I’ll make mistakes so you look really good.”
Praising Taylor for fostering a “community of truly supportive individuals,” Gracie—who served as the opening act for the Grammy winner’s Eras Tour last year—added, “There is such profound joy and emotion linked to all of the music she has released over the past 18 years, and it’s truly a magical thing.”
In short, it was a fairytale day for both Gracie and Travis, who also performed as one of Taylor’s backup dancers and assisted the Grammy winner with her wardrobe in the Tortured Poets Department set of the show.
