Pahlaj Nihalani blames Govinda’s late arrivals, naivety, and belief in superstitions for his career downfall
Bollywood veteran Govinda, known for his comic timing, dance movies, and funny antics, has over 165 movies to his credit and enjoys the love of millions of fans. His career has seen highs and lows, with producer Pahlaj Nihalani attributing the rough patch to superstitions among other reasons.
Govinda’s downfall happened due to these reasons, claims Pahlaj Nihalani
Govinda, also known as Chi-Chi, has starred in several hit films and collaborated with producer Pahlaj Nihalani on movies like Shola Aur Shabnam, Aankhen, and Ilzaam. Nihalani revealed that Govinda became increasingly superstitious and gullible, leading to his downfall in the industry.
Pahlaj recounted instances where Govinda would make superstitious predictions on set, causing delays and inconveniences. His habits of changing clothes based on superstitions, refusing to work on certain days, and being consistently late to shoots added to his downfall, according to Nihalani.
Pahlaj Nihalani claims Govinda confused Hindi film Avatar with James Cameron’s hit
Nihalani also debunked Govinda’s claim of being offered James Cameron’s Avatar, stating that the actor confused it with his own unfinished Hindi film titled Avatar. Despite this, Govinda has starred in popular films like Bhagam Bhag, Partner, and Jodi No.1, among others.
