Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell Open Up About Their Terrifying Home Invasion Experiences
Goldie Hawn is looking back at a horrifying experience.
After moving away from Los Angeles to the California desert with her long-time partner Kurt Russell, the Private Benjamin actress revealed that they had been victims of a home invasion twice in the same year. This scary incident has left her feeling uneasy about the city.
“L.A. is just terrible,” Hawn confessed to Kelly Ripa during an episode of the TV host’s podcast called Let’s Talk Off Camera on June 11. “We were actually robbed once.”
Recalling the incident, she mentioned, “We went out for dinner and were away for about two hours. When we returned home and went inside, I went upstairs to my closet and that’s when I completely lost it.”
Describing the scene of the crime, she said, “The burglars broke in through the balcony into our bedroom and closet. They even managed to break down my secure door, showing that they were highly skilled. They took away many of my valuables. At that moment, I thought it was a one-off incident, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.”
