George Clooney Pulls Off Hilarious Prank on Tom Cruise by Pretending to be Brad Pitt and Pitching Sequel for Iconic Movie

We have all witnessed the charming George Clooney on the big screen in numerous movies, but in real life, the actor is known for his playful and mischievous personality. During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Clooney shared some insights into his love for pulling pranks on his co-stars and friends.

On the September 17, 2024 episode, Clooney revealed that he enjoys sending people letters disguised as being from various individuals or actors. He even mentioned sending letters to his friends posing as former president Bill Clinton.

Reminiscing about a time when Jimmy Kimmel gifted him fake stationery from Clinton and Brad Pitt, Clooney elaborated on his habit of finding the worst film by an actor and joking about it in his letters.

“The Brad Pitt one was brutal,” Clooney recalled, mentioning that he had also sent similar letters to Don Cheadle and Tom Cruise.

“I sent it to Tom Cruise, saying they want to do [Interview with the Vampire 2],” Clooney added, recounting a prank where he stated Brad Pitt wanted to play the role of Lestat this time.

In response, Jimmy Kimmel humorously mentioned that Brad Pitt had agreed to take on the role of Lestat after a call from Tom Cruise. Confused, Tom Cruise simply replied, “What are you talking about?”

It wasn’t just Tom Cruise and Robert Downey Jr. who fell for Clooney’s pranks, but also Meryl Streep, to whom he sent a letter along with a box of CDs for dialect training.

In the 1994 movie, Interview with the Vampire, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt starred as vampires navigating life in the 18th and 19th centuries, alongside a young Kirsten Dunst.

Brad Pitt and George Clooney recently collaborated on the film Wolfs, which premiered in select theaters on September 20 and will be available on Apple TV+ starting September 27.
