Michael Easton, Former General Hospital Star, Reflects on His Touching Journey on the Show as He Says Farewell

During a conversation with the magazine, Easton opened up about leaving the show after eight years. He mentioned, “You do have to remove your ego from it and realize you have a job to do.” Easton found it hard to bid farewell to the cast and everyone associated with the show.
He expressed gratitude towards the show’s writers for providing him with great material to deliver to the audience. However, Easton wished he had more time on screen to further develop his nuanced acting skills.

Reflecting on his last days on the show, Easton talked about the challenges he faced during filming. He shared, “I really wanted to make it work, so my thinking was, [Finn’s exit] had to go beyond alcoholism. Addiction and things like that, I kind of know a lot about that, but to get where I needed to go, it had to be almost a complete emotional break.”
At the end of the interview, Easton remarked, “It was raw for me, and it was humbling, but it also felt good. I felt like I left everything out there.”
