Makeup Artist of Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood Accuses Singer of Rape.
Allegations in the lawsuit claim that Brooks raped Roe during a work trip to Los Angeles for the Grammy Awards in 2019. Roe was surprised to find that the hotel suite Brooks booked only had one bedroom and no separate room for her.
Upon arrival at the hotel, Brooks allegedly appeared naked in the doorway to the bedroom, leaving Roe feeling trapped and alone with him, far from Nashville and without any means of help.
The assault was described as “painful and traumatic,” leaving Roe feeling helpless and terrified during the incident.
Roe ceased working for Brooks and Yearwood in May 2021 and subsequently relocated to Mississippi.
According to the lawsuit, when Roe’s lawyers informed Brooks of her intention to file a complaint in California regarding his sexual assaults, Brooks retaliated by filing an abusive complaint against her in the United States District Court For The Southern District of Mississippi, Northern Division, under the Declaratory Judgment Act on September 13, 2024.
