The much-anticipated Harry Potter television series is expected to premiere on Max in 2026, according to details shared during Warner Bros. Discovery’s earnings call on Feb. 23, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
This new series, announced in April 2023, will be a long-running TV adaptation of the beloved book series, closely following the original seven novels released between 1997 and 2007.
Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav shared that a meeting with author J.K. Rowling left them both thrilled about the future, as mentioned in The Hollywood Reporter. They are excited to bring “a decade of new stories” to fans worldwide on Max.
While fans hope to see familiar faces like Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson make cameo appearances in the new show, the trio has not confirmed their involvement yet. Daniel hinted in July that he might not be returning to the wizarding world anytime soon.
