During a recent interview with Digital Commentary on YouTube, Bhuvan Arora disclosed that Farzi 2 is currently in the pre-production stage.

“Aa rahi hai, pakka aa rahi hai. (It is indeed coming) The writers room is on. We haven’t officially announced it yet but I think we are doing it. Everybody is busy at the moment. Sab log apna apna kaam kar rahe hain,” Bhuvan said.

Bhuvan also shared his experience of working with big stars like Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi in the Raj & DK series. He praised Vijay as a “fantastic actor” and referred to Shahid as a “lovely actor.” Kay Kay Menon was described as “fabulous” in his work. Comparing himself to roses, Bhuvan stated that he feels like an “orchid” around them.

Shahid Kapoor confirmed the arrival of Farzi 2 during a Pinkvilla Masterclass in 2023, citing the amazing response to the first season. He mentioned that the open-ended first season allows for more opportunities in the series.

The first season of Farzi consisted of eight episodes and premiered on February 10, 2023. It also featured Rashii Khanna, Regina Cassandra, and Manoj Bajpayee.

In the series, Shahid Kapoor portrays Sunny, a disillusioned artist who criticizes income inequality in India. Vijay Sethupathi plays Michael Vedanayagam, a Special Task Force officer in the IPS. Kay Kay Menon as Mansoor Dalal is a criminal mastermind.
