Usher Angers Fans by Postponing Opening Night Tour in Atlanta at Last Minute
Popular singer and musician Usher may have disappointed his loyal fans with a sudden announcement. Recent reports reveal that fans were upset when he postponed his ‘Past, Present, and Future’ tour just hours before the opening night in Atlanta.
The incredibly fit singer took to Instagram to share with his followers that he needed to postpone the tour to allow his body “a second to rest and heal.”
“Throughout my 30-plus year career, I have poured my blood, sweat, and tears into delivering the best performances and creating unforgettable experiences for my fans,” he wrote. “I fully intend to do the same for this tour, which is why I have made the decision to postpone tonight’s show and reschedule it for a later date to give my body the chance to rest and heal,” he added.
Despite their disappointment, Usher assured his fans that they will still get to experience the “Past, Present, and Future” tour on a rescheduled date.
The Good, Good singer emphasized, “The last thing I want to do is disappoint you, the fans who have eagerly awaited the start of this tour. However, I wouldn’t be the entertainer I am if I couldn’t physically give you my best.”
He wrapped up the message by expressing his enthusiasm to celebrate the legacy of his music with his fans and informed them that new concert dates would be available soon.
According to USA TODAY, he notified the tour days prior to his Super Bowl halftime performance, originally announcing 24 dates in North America before expanding to 58 shows until November. The tour is expected to resume in Europe in 2025, with London hosting shows from March to May.
