Yash and Nayanthara kick off shooting for Toxic as Geetu Mohandas plans 150-day shoot in London
Reported in 2023 by Pinkvilla, Yash and Geetu Mohandas are collaborating on an action film after the success of the KGF franchise. The film, “Toxic,” will feature Nayanthara and Kiara Advani in key roles. Recently, it was revealed that Nayanthara and Yash have begun shooting for Toxic in India.
Toxic to be shot extensively in London
“Toxic began filming in India with Yash and Nayanthara. After shooting in India, the team plans to shoot extensively in London. Geetu Mohandas has scheduled a total of 200 days of shooting for Toxic, with 150 days planned in and around London. The production will soon move to the UK to film some important scenes for Toxic,” a close source revealed.
Yash portrays a stylish underworld don in the film, but the treatment is different from his role in the KGF franchise. The tone and conflict in Toxic resemble the international series, Peaky Blinders,” the source disclosed.
Toxic to release on April 10, 2025
The exact filming schedule remains confidential as the team of Toxic aims to create intrigue and suspense around the project. The gangster-based action drama is set to release on April 10, 2025, coinciding with the 3rd anniversary of KGF 2. Besides Yash, Nayanthara, and Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi will play the antagonist in Toxic. “Huma will be joined by other actors for negative roles. The cast is a diverse ensemble aiming to offer a unique cinematic experience,” the source added.
