Exclusive: Sanjay Gupta recalls the moment when Sajid Khan considered Fardeen as the fourth Khan, following Shah Rukh, Aamir, and Salman
After a long hiatus, Fardeen Khan made a triumphant return to the big screen, receiving overwhelming love and support from fans. This led to him landing multiple movie roles, including Khel Khel Mein and the upcoming crime thriller Visfot. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Fardeen, along with the film’s producer, discussed the Kookie Gulati directorial. During the conversation, Sanjay Gupta shared his admiration for Fardeen.
When asked about his relationship with Fardeen Khan, Sanjay Gupta revealed that his impression of Khan is heavily influenced by his father, Bollywood legend Feroz Khan. Fardeen joked, “That follows me everywhere.”
Gupta expressed his admiration for Feroz Khan’s work, stating that all his films are inspired by him. He fondly recalled Sajid Khan’s comment about Fardeen being the fourth Khan destined to be a superstar, albeit taking his time to get there.

During the same interview, Gupta praised Alia Bhatt’s performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s direction, likening the movie to Amitabh Bachchan’s films from the 70s. He commended Alia’s acting in a particular scene and criticized directors who have become complacent in their work.
Fardeen Khan made his comeback in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar earlier this year and was later seen in Khel Khel Mein alongside Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, and others.
