Tikku Talsania reveals desire to portray villain onscreen, dispels image of being innocent
Tikku Talsania is a veteran actor with a long-standing association with the Indian film industry. His comedy movies like Andaz Apna Apna, Judwaa, and Coolie No. 1 have made audiences laugh out loud, while his performances in dramas like Devdas and Rishtey have tugged at their heartstrings.
Despite being actively involved in plays, Tikku Talsania recently mentioned facing some difficulty in finding suitable work in the Indian film industry. In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, the actor elaborated on his statement.
When asked about his comment on being ‘slightly jobless’, Talsania clarified, “What I meant was, I am not getting good work. I wanted good work.” He expressed a desire for roles that are more interesting and new, such as playing a villain.
The actor feels that he is often typecast as an innocent and jovial character, which is why he may not be considered for negative roles. He believes this perception is preventing him from being cast as an antagonist.
In a previous interview with The Indian Express, the Cirkus actor emphasized the importance of receiving roles that suit him. Despite his willingness to work and his reluctance to retire, Tikku Talsania lamented the lack of suitable roles in the industry.
During an exclusive interview with the Pinkvilla podcast, Tikku revealed his willingness to audition for films featuring actors like Aamir Khan and directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Despite his efforts, he often feels disheartened when he doesn’t land the desired roles.
We hope that Tikku Talsania finds roles that align with his aspirations and continues to shine as the talented actor that he is!
