Rohit Shetty hints at Golmaal 5; assures fans that it’s inevitable
There is much excitement surrounding the release of Golmaal 5. Director Rohit Shetty and his team are often asked about any updates on the upcoming film. The anticipation began when Shetty hinted at the fifth installment of the Golmaal series in the song Aankh Marey from Simmba in 2018.
Recently, Shetty has teased fans with news that Golmaal 5 is currently in development.
Rohit Shetty hints at Golmaal 5
In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Rohit Shetty was questioned about Golmaal 5 and shared that the film is in progress, although it will take some time.
“There is still time. The Golmaal series will continue to be made. It’s inevitable. But patience is required,” he said.
Shetty also expressed his pride in the universe he has created throughout his career, whether it’s the Golmaal series or his cop universe.
Will Rohit Shetty replace his core team in Golmaal?
When asked if he would replace the core team in Golmaal with contestants from Khatron Ke Khiladi, Shetty firmly stated that the Golmaal team is irreplaceable. He emphasized that he could never imagine replacing the key members of the series.
Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Shetty confirmed that Golmaal 5 will be released within the next two years.
Exploring the Golmaal series
Rohit Shetty initially directed Golmaal: Fun Unlimited in 2006, followed by several sequels. The films featured actors like Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Rimi Sen, and Paresh Rawal.
Subsequent installments included Golmaal Returns in 2008, Golmaal 3, and Golmaal Again.
