Sushant Divgikr sat down with Pinkvilla for a special Pride Month feature. While showcasing their makeup routine, they revealed their favorite style icon. The social media personality mentioned that growing up, senior Bollywood actress Rekha was their fashion inspiration.
“She was the ultimate diva, and she still is,” Sushant remarked, also mentioning Zeenat Aman, Parveen Babi, Aishwarya Rai, and Sushmita Sen as style icons. Despite their admiration for Madhuri Dixit Nene, Rekha remains the diva they aspire to embody.
Reflecting on Rekha’s iconic looks in the 1988 film Khoon Bhari Maang, Sushant expressed admiration for her impact. “She caused a revolution in one film that is enough for me, I feel fulfilled,” they shared.

In the same interview, the model-actor recounted a memorable moment with Rekha when she gifted them a saree during her appearance on the reality TV show Big Boss. “I still have the saree; I recently wore it. She complimented my dancing and style. That was it for me. I felt like I had won a National Award. She will always be a style icon for me,” Divgikr shared.
The drag queen expressed their desire to embody Rekha’s qualities, including confidence, beauty, wit, humor, intelligence, heart, and of course, her sarees.
