Panchayat’s Aasif Khan shares exclusive story of learning about Airpods from Anushka Sharma on the set of Pari
Actor Aasif Khan received recognition with his role in the Panchayat series after years of portraying character roles. One of his smaller roles was in the 2018 movie Pari, starring Anushka Sharma. During an exclusive conversation on Pinkvilla’s Hindi Rush YouTube channel, Aasif shared a humorous incident from the sets of Pari.
Aasif Khan recalls learning about Airpods because of Anushka Sharma
When asked if he met Anushka Sharma during Paatal Lok, a series produced by the actress’ production house, Aasif mentioned, “I met her before Paatal Lok. There was a film called Pari where I had a brief role of only 1.5 seconds. While filming Pari, I heard about AirPods for the first time because of her.”
The Mirzapur actor continued, “So whenever there was a break during her scenes, someone would give her pods to put in her ears, and I would wonder what she was putting in her ears. So, I saw AirPods for the first time in my life because of her.” However, Khan shared that he didn’t have much direct interaction with the actress even during the filming of Paatal Lok.

On the professional front, Aasif Khan will be appearing in Aditya Sarpotdar’s horror comedy Kakuda, which will premiere on Zee 5 from July 12. The film also features Riteish Deshmukh, Sonakshi Sinha, and Saqib Saleem in key roles. He also has several other movies in the pipeline, including Section 108, Ishq Chakallas, Noorani Chehra, and The Virgin Tree. Fans can currently stream his latest work, Panchayat 3, on Prime Video.
Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma does not have any new projects announced and is awaiting the release of her highly-anticipated movie, Chakda ‘Xpress. A biopic of Jhulan Goswami, the film completed filming in 2022 and was written by Abhishek Banerjee. Directed by Prosit Roy and produced by Anushka’s brother under Clean Slate Film, this sports drama also stars Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Renuka Shahane, Anshul Chauhan, Koushik Sen, and Mahesh Thakur in pivotal roles.
