Lily Collins reveals her journey with Emily In Paris and reflects on her learning experience
Lily Collins is set to reprise her role as Emily Cooper in Emily In Paris Season 4, scheduled to premiere on Netflix on August 15, 2024. Prior to the show’s release, Pinkvilla had an exclusive interview with Collins where she shared insights about her journey with the character, her best moments, and her personal favorite season.
During the interview, Collins discussed her transformation into Emily in 2020 and talked about her growth with the character over the years. She mentioned her experience returning to the screens with one of the most popular characters of her career, and the process of learning about TV, being a producer, and balancing her real and reel life for the show.
Collins also mentioned that as she prepares for the release of season 4, she has focused on owning her voice more.
She shared, “It’s been a huge journey. I have learned so much about working in TV, about being a producer, about what it is to leave and come back to a character time and time again.”
She added that she has learned how to “harness and own” her voice more, to stand up for what is important to her.
When asked what advice Emily of the new season would give to Emily of season 1, Collins joked that the character from the first season needs to brace herself for the upcoming adventures.
She speculated that Emily would tell her past self, “Get ready, and hold on to your breath, it’s gonna be a wild ride.” Collins also reflected on the similarities between herself and Emily, calling them both “trusting and optimistic.”

Emily’s character in Emily In Paris has experienced a range of emotions, encounters with new people, love interests, friends, and colleagues. The new season is expected to continue where season 3 left off, with fans eagerly anticipating the upcoming adventures for Emily.
The season will feature the ensemble cast including Lucas Bravo, Ashley Park, Lucien Laviscount, Camille Razat, Kate Walsh, and William Abadie.
Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1 will debut on Netflix on August 15, followed by Part 2 on September 12.
