EXCLUSIVE: Kamal Haasan responds to ’embarrassing’ question about Senapathy’s age in Indian 2, compares him to Superman

Next up, Kamal Haasan is preparing for his upcoming project titled Indian 2 (Hindustani 2 in Hindi), which is set to have a grand release soon.
In a recent update, Kamal Haasan participated in an interactive masterclass session with Pinkvilla where he addressed a viral question about the age of Senapathy in the film. Here’s what he had to say!

During the session, when asked about the age of Senapathy in Indian-2, Kamal Haasan responded by saying, “These are the kind of questions that we prefer to avoid. Nobody questions the age of Superman or Hanuman.”
He concluded by stating, “He transcends time and space, which is why he is known as the longest-living among gods.”

In the first Indian film released in 1996, Kamal Haasan portrayed the roles of a father and son. The father was depicted as a seasoned revolutionary who used vigilantism to fight corruption in the country.
Indian 2 serves as a modern continuation of the original project. The film features Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Suryah, Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kajal Aggarwal, and other actors in pivotal roles. The storyline also includes the final performances of late actors Vivek and Nedumudi Venu.
Anirudh Ravichander has taken over as the musical composer in place of A R Rahman. The film is being directed by renowned filmmaker Shankar Shanmugam, who is also at the helm of the project.
Titled Hindustani 2 in Hindi and Bharateeyudu 2 in Telugu, the political thriller is being produced by Lyca Productions, headed by Subaskaran Allirajah. It is slated for release in theaters on July 12, 2024, in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
