Hrithik Roshan prepares for the highly anticipated climax shoot of War 2 alongside NTR Jr in November: Exclusive
The YRF Spy Universe film, War 2, is highly anticipated in 2025 as it brings together two powerhouse actors – Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr – for the first time. The film started filming in February 2024 and has been shot in various locations around the world.
Insiders reveal that Aditya Chopra and Ayan Mukerji have created a massive action spectacle for Indian Cinema, pushing boundaries to showcase new forms of action. The sequel, while keeping the essence of War, promises to be more intense with raw action. Viewers can expect to be captivated from Hrithik Roshan’s sword fight sequence at the beginning,” a source disclosed.
Most of War 2 has already been filmed, but Pinkvilla has learned exclusively that Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr. are preparing to film the climax of the movie in November 2024.
“The YRF team is currently in pre-production planning the biggest climax scene ever seen, featuring two of the biggest stars – Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr. Part of the climax will be shot in Mumbai and the rest at a secret location,” a source close to the project revealed. Filming for the climax of War 2 is scheduled to start in the first week of November.
“The climax will be filmed over a 20-day period. Hrithik has already started his preparations, following a strict health routine to be agile and powerful for the action-packed scene. His training includes strength training, speed-based training, and plyometrics to prepare for the intense action required. He is also training for hand-to-hand combat,” the source added.
While reports circulated about Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani filming a song in Italy, our source mentioned that action scenes were also filmed at outdoor locations during the Italy schedule. “The cast worked a 12-hour day in unexplored parts of Italy. Ayan and Adi are pushing the boundaries to bring grandeur and substance to War 2,” the source concluded. The filming of the climax will mark the team’s journey towards the conclusion.
War 2 sees the return of Hrithik Roshan as Kabir after the success of War (2019). While the first film saw him face off against Tiger Shroff, the sequel will see him in a battle royale with NTR Jr. The film is expected to create fireworks at the box office during the Independence Day 2025 weekend.
