Fardeen Khan Exclusive: Actor shares the ‘special’ scene that was edited out of Heeramandi; discusses limited screen time in SLB’s series
Fardeen Khan made a remarkable comeback after 12 years in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, portraying the character of Wali Mohammed. Despite having minimal screen time in the series, he managed to win the hearts of the audience.
During an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Fardeen shared that one of his scenes was cut from the series. Nevertheless, he expressed his admiration for SLB and considered it an honor to work with him.
‘It’s better to leave them feeling that they wanted to see more,’ says Fardeen Khan
In response to his limited screen time in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, Fardeen Khan humorously stated, “It’s better to leave them feeling that they wanted to see more (laughs). I was informed that I had 8-10 scenes, but unfortunately, one scene got excluded, which he wished had been included as it was quite special to him.”
He further praised Sanjay Leela Bhansali and considered it a privilege to work under his direction. According to Fardeen, being a part of this ambitious project by SLB was a significant milestone in his career.
Fardeen expressed that working on Heeramandi boosted his confidence and reaffirmed his skills, especially after such a long hiatus, as it provided validation from both the audience and SLB.
Receiving acknowledgment and appreciation from SLB meant the world to Fardeen, and he felt exceedingly happy about it.
Following the release of Heeramandi, Fardeen received positive feedback from various quarters, including fans, friends, and colleagues, highlighting the significance of working with Bhansali in making a successful comeback.
