Anees Bazmee reveals: Aamir Khan praises Govinda’s Sandwich after watching it three times

Known as the comedy king of Hindi cinema, Govinda began his career in the 1980s. He is famous for his films with director David Dhawan, such as Hero No.1, Coolie No.1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and others. Recently, director Anees Bazmee disclosed that Aamir Khan has watched Govinda’s film Sandwich three times and praised his comic timing in the 2006 movie.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Anees Bazmee talked about Sandwich receiving recognition on television and shared an incident of meeting Aamir Khan, who expressed his admiration for the film and Govinda’s performance.

Recalling Aamir’s words, Anees mentioned that the actor loved Govinda’s comic timing and appreciated the unique plot of the film involving dual roles of the protagonist and twins played by children.

Anees Bazmee concluded by calling Sandwich a “lovely” film.

Currently, Anees Bazmee is working on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which is the third installment of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series. The film stars Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri in lead roles, with Vidya Balan reprising her role from the original movie. Other actors like Madhuri Dixit, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, and Sanjay Mishra are also part of the cast.

Apart from Bhool Bhulaiyaa series, Anees Bazmee has directed films like No Entry, Welcome, Singh is Kinng, and No Problem.
