Siddharth P. Malhotra, director of Maharaj, suggests Aamir Khan and Junaid collaborate on a remake of this Mr. Perfectionist film
Junaid Khan, the son of Aamir Khan, recently made his acting debut in the film Maharaj directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra. Despite facing challenges, the biographical crime drama premiered on OTT on June 21.
Receiving positive reviews, the debutant actor and director sat down with Pinkvilla for an exclusive chat. In the interview, they discussed Junaid sharing the screen with his perfectionist father.
Junaid Khan discusses the possibility of working with Aamir Khan
During a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Junaid Khan, lead actor of the Netflix film Maharaj, and director Siddharth P. Malhotra talked about the film and Junaid’s debut. They also discussed the idea of Junaid working with his father Aamir Khan.
Junaid expressed his openness to working with his father if the right script comes along, mentioning that Aamir is producing a film in which Junaid is acting. When Siddharth suggested that it would be fun to see the two actors together, Junaid responded, “Hopefully.”
Siddharth suggests Aamir Khan and Junaid Khan should work on Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar remake
During the same conversation, when asked which of Aamir Khan’s movies the father-son duo should remake, Siddharth quickly proposed Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar.
Explaining his choice, Siddharth mentioned the character arc of Sanju in the film and how it transforms. Although Junaid didn’t seem fully convinced, he expressed his admiration for the film and admitted he hadn’t considered working with Aamir Khan on a remake.
