2024 Oscars: Emma Stone Explains Her Wardrobe Malfunction While Winning Best Actress!
Emma Stone‘s response to her name being called was incredibly charming, adding to her charm.
Despite looking shocked, the Poor Things star, now a two-time Best Actress Oscar winner for her role as Bella Baxter in Yorgos Lanthimos‘s film, made it to the stage of the 96th Academy Awards. In her performance, she portrays a woman who goes on a humorous and tumultuous journey of self-discovery after a brain transplant.
During her acceptance speech, Stone made sure to thank her husband Dave McCary and also mentioned their daughter Louise, which was a rare glimpse into her personal life.
“I know I have to wrap up, but I really want to just thank my family, my mom, my brother Spencer, my dad, my husband Dave, I love you so much,” she said, clearly emotional. “And most importantly, my daughter, who’s going to be 3 in three days and has turned our lives technicolor. I love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl.”
Stone also took the time to acknowledge her fellow nominees—Annette Bening, Lily Gladstone, Sandra Hüller, and Carey Mulligan—for their outstanding performances.
