Emma Stone Addresses Rumors Regarding Alleged Comment About Jimmy Kimmel
Jimmy Kimmel is still a favorite for Emma Stone.
In fact, the actress just addressed rumors that the Jimmy Kimmel Live host offended her during the 2024 Oscars.
“No!” Emma told The Hollywood Reporter on April 24. “What did I say? I didn’t call him a prick. I wasn’t upset with him at all. I’ll have to look that up.”
As the 35-year-old later pointed out, “I’m near-unoffendable.”
The incident in question happened after a montage from the Best Picture nominee was shown, which led Jimmy—who hosted the ceremony on March 10—to joke, “Those were all the parts of Poor Things we’re allowed to show on TV,” referencing the explicit content of the film.
When the camera focused on Emma—who is in the movie—she seemed to roll her eyes and say something to her husband Dave McCary, which sparked speculation online that she called him a “prick.”
While Poor Things did not win the Best Picture award, Emma herself won Best Actress for her performance.
