Hailie Jade, Eminem’s Pregnant Daughter, Shares Precious Baby Memento from Texas
Debbie, born in 1955 at a military base in Kansas, is the mother of Eminem.
She married Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr., father of the artist known for “Without Me,” when she was just 15 years old, as revealed in her 2008 memoir, “My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem.” Debbie became pregnant with Eminem 16 months later and the family moved to Michigan, where her maternal grandmother resided.
Eminem has referenced his strained relationship with Debbie in his music, notably in the 2002 hit “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.” In the song, he accused Debbie of abusing prescription pills during his childhood—an allegation she denies in her own autobiography.
In her book, she wrote, “What mother wants to be known as a pill-popping alcoholic living on welfare? None of it was true, but the lies continued to grow, leading to the estrangement between Marshall and myself.”
Despite their rocky past, Eminem has expressed remorse for putting their family issues on blast. In his 2013 track “Headlights,” he rapped, “I went in headfirst, never thinking about who, what I said hurt / In what verse, my mom probably got it the worst.”
