Eminem’s Show-Stopping 2024 VMAs Performance Leaves Audience in Awe
In 2022, Eminem appeared on the VMAs stage with Snoop Dogg for a metaverse-assisted performance. However, in 2010, he opened the ceremony with “Not Afraid” and was later joined by Rihanna for their duet “Love the Way You Lie.”
Offstage, Eminem is a father to Hailie, as well as Alaina, 31, and Stevie, 22, with his ex-wife Kim Scott. His song “Temporary,” from his Death of Slim Shady album, is dedicated to Hailie. Hailie revealed on her podcast Just a Little Shady that she “audibly sobbed” the first time she heard it.
“Growing up, I didn’t realize how bad things were, but as an adult, looking back, it’s scary to think about,” she said, referring to her father’s battle with addiction before becoming sober in 2008. “I think that’s why I get emotional thinking about what could have happened.”
